Wanker was born from the visionary mind of Dan W. – it all started back in December of 2020 during COVID…
Dan had an idea to make an interactive sex simulator to allow someone with a cell phone to “fuck” animated GIFs. This would align the penetration in the GIF to synchronize with the fuck motion of their hand/fleshlight in the physical world.
Over the next 3 years, Dan wrangled in friend Derek to help him make his sex simulator vision a reality. Dan and Derek developed a Beta product and called it Synctilla. This was released on the Apple iPhone in mid-2023 with limited success. It was difficult to hype this product up too much because the App Store would NOT allow any explicit material. So, Dan and Derek had to beat around the bush to shoehorn it in. It found some users on Reddit, but did not take off.
Because Synctilla was cell phone based, it was difficult to get good calibrations since it depended on the user keeping the phone-holding hand still. It also meant that the user needed to wank with only one hand. Derek was never really happy with Synctilla and wanted Dan to bring video use to Synctilla vs. just animated GIFs. There were also several iterations where the syncing algorithm was “broken” which made the experience feel too robotic.
After a couple month trial on the App Store, Dan and Derek decided to shelve Synctilla and work on other projects. They deemed this Synctilla project a failure as it never was able to reach more than 500 users…
Dan was not able to sit well with this outcome, and he started working on a new version of Synctilla in the background. He had a vision to create the world’s best sex simulator, and nothing was going to stand in his way. He brought the Synctilla code to Windows, began to understand how to modify the code to work with MP4 video, and started making real progress. This new version would work with a webcam and fix all the issues that Synctilla suffered from. Dan re-roped Derek into working on this version of the sex simulator now called “Wanker” in early 2025.
After nearly 6 years of development, Dan and Derek’s vision to create the world’s best sex simulator feels like it has finally been achieved! As of mid-2026, Wanker is now available for Windows PCs for free download.
